's latest album, "Invented," contains the band's guitar-based wall-of-sound layered beneath lyrics that were composed in a new way. Jim Adkins, the band's primary lyricist, used images in books such as Hannah Starkey's "Photographs 1997-2007" to concoct story lines about what might have been happening in the photos. "The point wasn't to get material for Jimmy Eat World songs, it was only to get my brain in a mindset for working," he writes on the band's website. "Eventually, though, ideas developed in those sessions did start creeping into songs." Also on the bill in Orlando: David Bazan and his band.
