UCF hosted roughly 20 recruits during its spring game and second junior day of the year Saturday.
While the turnout was dwarfed by last month’s junior day (more than 80 attendees), there were still some solid prospects on hand.
There were also plenty of familiar faces and repeat visitors, such as Orlando Jones High defensive end Devin Washington, who has 24 offers and is ranked No. 8 in the Sentinel’s 2013 Central Florida Super60 and No. 40 in the Sentinel's 2013 FLorida Top 100.
“It went really well,” said Washington, who has visited UCF at least four times this offseason. “I’ve been there many times so it wasn’t really anything new. I got to sit in the stands with the track team and got to bond with some of the other sports players and stuff like that. So I just enjoyed it. I like being at UCF and it was a fun trip. It’s always a great."
Washington also spent part of the afternoon with several members of UCF’s 2012 recruiting class, receivers Taylor Oldham (South Daytona Warner Christian) and Drico Johnson (Orlando Agape).
Here are a few of the other recruits in attendance:

Blake Keller, DE, Bradenton Manatee – Like Washington, Keller (6-2, 215) was also at UCF’s first junior day and has attended a spring practice. Rivals ranks him as a three-star prospect. Keller was with teammate, DE Marquis Dawsey (6-0, 220).

Dantwaun O’Neal, WR, DeLand – O’Neal was hoping for an offer from the Knights during his visit. That didn’t come to fruition, but he was excited that he met former UCF players Brandon Marshall, Kevin Smith and Josh Robinson. O’Neal (6-3, 190) has offers from FIU and South Alabama and is ranked No. 29 in the Sentinel’s 2013 Central Florida Super60.

Jerod Fernandez, LB, Lake Mary – This agile outside linebacker burst onto the scene last season. He still is learning just how good he can be. Fernandez (6-1, 210) is ranked No. 32 in the Sentinel’s 2013 Central Florida Super60 and has an offer from N.C. State. He visited UCF with Lake Mary DE Quan Boone (6-1, 205).

Robert Jones, LB, Miami Monsignor Pace – Productive linebacker has visited UCF during both junior days. He said he would commit to UCF on spot. Jones (6-0, 205) is cousins with Miramar LB and UCF 2012 commit Mark Rucker.

Zach Benjamin, WR, Tampa Catholic – “Big Bird” is considered a strong sleeper prospect. Benjamin (6-5, 190) has been stellar in offseason combines.
