Come Sunday our evenings will be a little brighter with the advent of daylight-saving time. Here are 15 places in — or very near — downtown Orlando that are great for alfresco meals. Each has its own personality and pluses.
Citrus, 821 N. Orange Ave., Orlando; 407-373-0622; citrusorlando.com: Comfortable outdoor furniture makes this location great for lingering long after dinner.
Cityfish, 617 E. Central Blvd., Orlando; 407-849-9779; cityfishorlando.com: The wraparound patio offers lots of shade when temperatures rise. Free oyster Wednesdays are a must.
Ember, 42 W. Central Blvd., Orlando; 407-849-5200; emberorlando.com: Ember opened in 2008 as a bar with food. But don't think the menu gets little attention here. And the setting — especially the courtyard — is marvelous for meals and cocktails.
Gargi's Lakeside, 1414 N. Orange Ave., Orlando; 407-894-7907; gargislakeside.com: Great Italian food on Lake Ivanhoe.
Hue, 629 E. Central Blvd., Orlando; 407-849-1800; huerestaurant.com: The outside dining area is a mix of high-tops and regular tables with a comfy banquette that wraps around the curved space.

K Restaurant Wine Bar, 1710 Edgewater Drive, Orlando; 407-872-2332; kwinebar.com: James Beard-nominated chef Kevin Fonzo's place is great for lunch or dinner. In the spring, the porch is a prime spot to dine.
Relax Grill, 211 Eola Parkway, Orlando; 407-425-8440; relaxgrill.com: This is the place on Lake Eola to enjoy when you are not in a rush. The ambience lives up to its name.
