About 90% of house hunters start by reviewing online listings. Buyers need to be able to quickly find your house online through routine search and at major real estate listing sites. Top sites include Realtor.com, your local multiple listing service, Zillow.com, Yahoo! AOL Real Estate, Craigslist.com and the sites of local newspapers like the Orlando Sentinel. Tips for getting the most from your online listing include: • Make sure your address is correctly spelled in the listing sheet. • Have high-quality professional photos taken that show a well-lit, clean interior. • Provide several exterior shots of the house and property. • Have the agent list your house not only in the multiple listing service but also at national real estate websites, in local classified sites, and specialty sites as appropriate, such as those for condos and vacation homes. • Post the listing at your neighborhood or homeowners' association website.
