Orlando Evans High wide receiver Dominic Walker, also known as ‘Showtime’, committed to
"My decision to commit to Vandy, it was intruiging," Walker said. "The reason I commited to that school is that it's the best of both worlds. It's an academic school and it's also located in the SEC."
Walker made it official on Wednesday via OrlandoSentinel.com streaming video, picking Vanderbilt over Florida State and Texas A&M.
Vanderbilt coaches had been telling Walker that he was the top receiver on their recruiting board throughout the spring. That sign of dedication is what pushed the Commodores into the lead and over the top for Walker.
"I'd say they're probably recruiting me the hardest right now," Walker said.
The Commodores now have three wide receiver commits in their 2013 recruiting class.
Walker, who had 618 receiving yards and six touchdown receptions for the Trojans last year, is the second Central Florida player to commit to Vanderbilt this week. Orlando Lake Highland Prep defensive end Landon Stokes committed to the Commodores on Tuesday.
