Wine Spectator has honored the world's best wine lists since 1981.

Four dining spots — La Ciau Del Tornavento in Italy, Per Se in New York, the Royal Mail Hotel in Australia and the Village Pub in Woodside, Calif. — earned Grand Award honors for the first time. These restaurants join 69 other renewed winners as “must-visit” destinations for wine lovers. The Grand Award represents the program’s top tier restaurants. Those in this elite group — representing 12 countries and 16 U.S. states — typically offer 1,500 or more selections, with excellent breadth and depth in many of the wine world’s major regions.

The complete list of award winners is featured in the August 31 issue of Wine Spectator, available on newsstands July 23. The issue also features a detailed industry analysis and full profiles of this year's new Grand Award winners.
