It's a relatively quiet week, eventwise at Orlando's theme parks and attractions.
+ It truly is last call today for the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, even though disneyworld.com has moved on to the 2013 festival already. The park is open until 9 p.m. if you want to make a final loop. (Pick up some of that lava cake for me?) Final performances of the Eat to the Beat concert series feature Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
+ Saturday marks the beginning of SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration, which is held on select nights through Dec. 31. The event, included in regular SeaWorld admission, features an ice-skating show, a seasonal killer-whale show, a holiday-themed "Clyde and Seamore" appearance, the Sea of Trees exhibit in the park lagoon, a "Sesame Street" show, the Polar Express Experience version of the Wild Arctic ride, a live show based on the Christmas story called "O Wondrous Night" and more. Event dates are Nov. 17-25 and 30 plus December 1-2, 7-9, and 14-31. More info: www.seaworldorlando.com.
+ Magic Kingdom will host three Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party events this week: Monday, Thursday and Friday. It's an extra-ticket, after-hours event with holiday extras. More info: www.disneyworld.com/holidays.
+ They're not public events, but we're expecting news from SeaWorld -- more details about its Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin area, set to open next spring -- on Tuesday and perhaps from Disney on Wednesday, when they are touring key community leaders through the Fantasyland expansion. Stay tuned.Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
