From the 1920’s through the ‘40s, homes in downtown Orlando sprung up with a wide range of architectural styles. This is especially true around Lake Adair and Lake Concord in the College Park neighborhood, the focus of the planned 2013 Historic Preservation Calendar.
To help make it a success, the City of Orlando is looking for photos from the public to feature in the calendar from the picturesque neighborhood. Photographers can submit up to three black-and-white prints showing the unique and distinct styles of the architecture in this historic district.
The deadline is July 13 and photos must be delivered to the Historic Preservation Office on the 6th floor of Orlando City Hall, 400 South Orange Avenue or mailed to the Historic Preservation Office, PO Box 4990, Orlando, Florida 32802. More information and a map of the district can be found at the City of Orlando website.or you can call call Richard Forbes at 407.246.3350 or Diane Rivera at 407.246.3416.
