Orlando police said a man hid inside a Walgreens last week and when the store closed, cut a hole in the firewall, removed a ceiling tile leading to the pharmacy, and then broke into a cabinet that stored drugs.
According to a report released Monday, the unidentified man — described as being thin, with heavy sideburns and shoulder-length hair — was locked into the Walgreens on East Michigan Street on Thursday night.
After breaking into the pharmacy, the man broke into a secured cabinet that stored schedule II, III and IV drugs — the categories that include painkillers and sedatives. The report didn't specify what or how many drugs were in the cabinet, but said he stole all of the narcotics.
Video surveillance showed the man wearing a gray shirt, jeans and a blue and white baseball cap that had the letter "O" or "U."
The man left the store via the rear door.Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
