Breakthrough Theatre of Winter Park has not one but two "live radio plays" in its upcoming season. That's a format that works well with stories of suspense — where the audience's imagination can add to the tension — and both of Breakthrough's are of that genre.

Coming up next month is an Alfred Hitchcock-based play, and leading up to Halloween is one that looks to TV's"The Twilight Zone" for inspiration.

Also on the schedule is Jason Robert Brown's teen musical"13,"Breakthrough's annual Broadway revue and the holiday offering "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever."

Here are details:

Performances are at Breakthrough Theatre, 419A W. Fairbanks Ave., Winter Park. Details: 407-920-4034 or the Breakthrough Theatre page at Facebook.com

Theater review: 'bare' at Breakthrough Theatre

Oh, those teenage years: A time of angst, bad decisions and hormones (which often cause those bad decisions). Imagine the added pressure on the church-going young. That's the interesting part of 'bare' the coming-of-age musical onstage at Breakthrough Theatre of Winter Park.
