Aquatica, SeaWorld's water park, again will host Polar Plunge, a fundraiser for Special Olympics Florida that invites participants into the intentionally cooled waters of its wave pool.
There are a slew of benefits for folks who gather $100 in pledges, including early (and all-day) admission to Aquatica, an all-day food pass, a Polar Plunge T-shirt and two spectator passes. The more money raised, the more perks are available, including two passes to Discovery Cove resort. In past years, folks have formed themed teams for the event.
The event is Saturday, Feb. 2. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m., with the dash into the icy wave pool at 11 a.m. (Other Aquatica attractions, of course, remain heated).
There's also a Virtual Plunger option, which has all the benefits without getting wet.
