Ted Cruz, Tom Cruise visit Jon Stewart

The days dwindle down for fans of "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart."

Next week his guests range from Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, on Monday to actor Tom Cruise on Tuesday.

Cruz has a presidential campaign to promote as well as a new book, "A Time for Truth: Reigniting the Promise of America."

Cruise will promote "Mission: Impossible -- Rogue Nation." J.J. Abrams, a producer of that movie, will be Stewart's guest on July 30.

Presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin will visit "The Daily Show" next Wednesday.

"The Daily Show" airs at 11 p.m. Monday-Thursday on Comedy Central. Stewart leaves the show after 16 years on Aug. 6.

Also next week, "The Daily Show With Larry Wilmore" will feature Colin Quinn on Monday, Penn Jillette on Tuesday, Baratunde Thurston and Bobcat Goldthwait on Wednesday and Ed Helms on July 30. That program airs at 11:30 p.m. on Comedy Central.
