One festival ends, another one begins this week at Walt Disney World, plus other arrivals:
+ The 2012 edition of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival wraps up Sunday. The designer showcase on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will feature HGTV's Genevieve Gorder at noon and 3 p.m. at the Festival Center. The Flower Power concert series spotlights Micky Dolenz, best known for his role in "The Monkees." Dolenz is performing in the spot that was designated for his co-star and bandmate Davy Jones until his death in February. + Star Wars Weekends returns Friday to Disney's Hollywood Studios. The event, which runs Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through June 10, features guests from the Star Wars universe, parades, shows and more. It's included in regular theme-park admission. + The Science of Wine program returns to Orlando Science Center on Saturday. The event, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., covers the technical aspects of how wine is made and gives the chance to sample from more than 100 wines. There will be wine-oriented presentations and demonstrations, plus an appearance by the Orange Blossom Chorus, which specializes in barbershop harmony. Science of Wine tickets are $75 per person, with proceeds going to the science center's fund for educational programs and opportunities for young people. More information: www.osc.org.
+ Gatorland will host Pet Amnesty Day on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Florida Wildlife Commission will take in non-native reptiles, amphibians, birds, fish, mammals and invertebrates, no questions asked.
