The Orange County Regional History Center will play host to a stilt-walking demonstration and Q&A in conjunction with the team from Universal Orlando on Saturday.
The event, hosted by Universal production manager Jeff Hobot, is the first of a series of session with experts from Universal's Art & Design Department and is related to the center's current exhibit "A Year in the Life: Backstage to Onstage at Universal Orlando Resort."
Stilt walkers are a staple at Universal Studios, seen at annual events such as Halloween Horror Nights and Mardi Gars and a daily basis. Egyptian-themed stilt walkers loom for photo ops outside the Revenge of the Mummy roller coaster and others participate in Universal's Superstar Parade.
Upcoming Universal-related topics at the history center will include drumming demonstrations, special effects and lighting. Demonstrations will be in the third-floor courtroom, and the Q&A will be in the Universal exhibit on the second floor.
