The Chainsmokers announce 40-city ‘Memories: Do Not Open’ spring tour

The Chainsmokers, the enormously popular Electronic Dance Music duo that is nominated in three Grammy Award categories this year, is hitting the road in a big way this spring to promote its upcoming debut album.

The duo, which pairs DJ Alex Pall and vocalist and DJ Drew Taggart, will embark on a 40-city North American arena tour that is their biggest concert trek to date. It begins April 13 in Miami and concludes June 10 in New York, where The Chainsmokers formed about five years ago.

Kiiara and Emily Warren will open all dates on the tour. Ticket information and the full itinerary appear below.

The Memories Do Not Open Tour will include four California stops, concluding with a May 8 show at Valley View Casino Center (formerly the San Diego Sports Arena). It will be The Chainsmokers’ first area appearance since they drew an overflow crowd of 15,000 to 20,000 to their performance at the 2016 KAABOO Del Mar festival.

Each ticket bought online for the tour will include a copy of the debut album by the duo, whose 2017 Grammy nominations include Best New Artist, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (for “Closer,” featuring Halsey) and Best Dance Recording (for “Don’t Let Me Down,” featuring Daya).

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday via Ticketmaster for most concerts on the tour. Tickets for the Valley View Casino Center tour also go on sale Friday, but at axs.com. Tickets for the San Diego concert are $80.50 for general admission standing room on the arena floor and $71.50 for reserved seats above the floor, plus service charges.
