Demi Lovato announces 2018 concert tour

Pop vocal star Demi Lovato has announced her 2018 winter concert tour.

It opens Feb. 26 at San Diego State University’s Viejas Arena and concludes March 31 in Florida at Tampa’s Amalie Arena. DJ Khaled will be the opening act for all of the shows. Ticket information appears below.

The tour is in support of Lovato’s latest album, “Tell Me You Love Me,” the follow-up to her 2015 album, “Confident.”

Tickets for all tour dates go on sale to the general public on Nov. 3 at 10 a.m. online through Ticketmaster and Live Nation. There will be at least 8 ticketpresales, which are also listed below. Tickets will also be available by phone at (800) 745-3000.

Prices for Lovato’s tour-opening SDSU concert range from $29.95 to $149.95, each, plus service charges.

Her most recent San Diego concert took place in August of 2016 at Sleep Train Amphitheatre, a venue that was subsequently re-named Mattress Firm Amphitheatre. Each of the dates on her 2016 tour were preceded by an onsite “wellness workshop.”

Lovato, 25, has been very candid about being diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2010 and spending three months in treatment that same year for drug abuse, bulimia and a self-harming disorder.

“I think every artist has the ability to speak out about things they believe in, and that it’s important, but it’s also a personal choice,” Lovato said in a Union-Tribune interview last year. “Some people like to keep it private, and that’s totally their choice. But, for me, I see the importance of sharing my story and speaking out.”
