Kendra defends Hugh Hefner

Former San Diegan/Playboy bunny Kendra Wilkinson is defending 89-year-old Hugh Hefner by saying Holly Madison wrote her new book, “Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny,” out of revenge.

Recently, Madison told talk-show host Wendy Williams that the Playboy founder was verbally abusive, and she felt suicidal while living in the Playboy mansion.

Wilkinson, who co-starred in the TV series ‘The Girls Next Door’ with Holly, says Madison wrote lies about manipulation and suicidal thoughts because she always had an agenda that went along with her inflated ego in the mansion.

Per Holly, she wanted to start a family with Hefner, regardless of his age, but Wilkinson told People magazine, “How could Holly want kids and to get married to him and then, next thing you know, say these types of things about Hef? It’s just out of revenge, and I feel bad for Hef. But you know what? He’s an amazing human being.”

Prior to her time with Hef, Wilkinson grew up in Clairemont and attended Clairemont High School, where she competed in softball -- playing for the Clairemont Bobby Sox for six years before becoming a model.
