Welcome to November, San Diego! This month brings us turkey, 65-degree weather and of course, a plethora of Movember events. For those who don’t know, Movember is an annual fundraiser for men’s health and prostate cancer, where mustache growth is praised.

From poker games to bicycle rides, this Movember is full of must-do events. Here are our top picks.

Shave the Date at Primo Sports Bar - Nov. 2

Kick off Movember at Primo Sports Bar with $2 craft beer and appetizers all night for the cost of a $5 donation. The event starts at 6 p.m. and gives Movember participants and teams a chance to get a clean start to the month while boosting moral to raise money for the Movember Foundation.

Societe Movember Nights - Every Tuesday in November

Every Tuesday at Societe Brewing Company in November, beer-lovers can enjoy their brews for a good cause. The Pints for Prostates weekly event donates all proceeds to the Movember Foundation. Brewery tours will be available every Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Movember Mustache Contest at North Park Beer Co. - Nov. 5

Do you have one of the best ‘staches around San Diego? Prove it at North Park Beer Company’s mustache competition taking over the brewery at 1 p.m. Judges from Mister Brown’s Barbershop will be on deck to choose the man (or woman) with the strongest ‘stache. The winner of the competition will have a beer named in their honor. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Movember Foundation.

Fourth annual Mo’ Stacks Poker Tournament - Nov. 16

The Mo’ Stacks Poker Tournament will make its return to Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Liberty Station from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Event-goers can buy-in for $50 and play Texas hold ‘em all night long. Proceeds will support research and funding in hopes of eliminating prostate cancer. Each participant will receive one Stone beer and free appetizers. The official event after-party will take place at Side Bar.

Sixth annual Movember Bash at Fat Fish Cantina Grill - Nov. 17

Fat Fish in Pacific Beach is offering up some Movember fun starting at 6 p.m. Enjoy an evening of food and drink specials like $2 fish tacos all night long. You can also enter a donation-based raffle to win big prizes like a surfboard, skateboard, beach cruiser, gift baskets and more. Raffle proceeds and $1 from every taco will be donated towards the Movember Foundation.
