From the Burgers & Brews Invitational to Fit Foodie Race Weekend, there’s plenty to do this weekend in San Diego. Here are the top nine events going down, Oct. 20-23.

Art Crawl - Thursday

San Diego is home to a growing street art scene and this event brings it all into one place: the San Diego Museum of Man. Tickets will get you entrance to the museum, food tastings, beverages and entertainment. Other highlights during the evening include break-dancing performances, live-action yarn bombing, visitor participation chalkboard mural, and a chance to create your own graffiti art.

The BLVD Market - Friday

It’s that time of the month when folks gather in North Park to graze on tasty food at The BLVD Market at The Boulevard Center. The monthly event transforms the center’s parking lot into a vibrant outdoor marketplace with food and wares focused on locally sourced, sustainable products.

International Horror Film Night - Friday

Thrill seekers can get into the Halloween spirit and enjoy this fright night filled with acclaimed horror films from Asia. The evening’s featured films include “Three Extremes” and “Rigor Mortis.” If your fear doesn’t get the best of you, stick around after the features for a special post-horror film reception.

Fit Foodie Race Weekend - Friday through Sunday

Food and fitness come together during this race weekend that includes a 5K, a 10K and plenty of gourmet food samples. On Friday night at the Party With A Purpose held at The Headquarters at Seaport Village, guests are encouraged to bring old sneakers as a donation for Soles4Souls. Special guests for the weekend include four-time Olympian Meb Keflezighi and “Top Chef” contestant and Waypoint Public chef Rich Sweeney.

Día de los Muertos Festival - Saturday

Celebrate Mexican culture and honor the dead at this 22nd annual event, which begins with an official blessing of elaborately decorated community altars. The rest of the day will be filled with live performances, food, vendors and a self-guided tour of altars across the community.

Burgers & Brews Invitational - Saturday

Craft brews meet juicy burgers at this inaugural invitational with unlimited samples from the likes of Hodad’s, Slater’s 50/50, Burger Lounge and Carnitas Snack Shack. Beer vendors include Port Brewing, South Park Brewing and Resident Brewing. Bonus: There will be a “Gourmet Fry Bar” where chef Alex Carballo will prepare french fries with custom dipping sauces. In Oktoberfest fashion, there also will be a beer stein-holding contest (which comes at an additional cost to the festival ticket of $25 in advance, $40 day of). Proceeds from the stein-holding contest go to support children’s brain cancer research.

Ye Scallywag! - Saturday

NOFX, Bad Religion and Goldfinger headline this new festival, featuring more than 100 craft breweries, artisan wineries and food trucks.

San Diego Gulls vs. Texas Stars - Saturday

The San Diego Gulls are back in action for their second season as the American Hockey League” href=”https://www.discoversd.com/topic/sports/ice-hockey/american-hockey-league-ORSPT000478-topic.html”>AHL affilate of the Anaheim Ducks. On Saturday they will take to the ice for plenty of hard-hitting action against the Texas Stars.

Makj at Omnia - Saturday

A veteran of Electric Zoo, Coachella and TomorrowWorld, this San Luis Obispo-based house DJ has released singles with Hardwell, Henry Fong, Lil Jon and Bassjackers.
