6.4&5 - Michael Franti & Spearhead

It’s been a long journey for Michael Franti, from the political rap of Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy to the universalistic sing-alongs of his work with Spearhead in recent years. But Franti’s message continues to evolve, and he’ll be doling out the positivity in heaps over this two-day stand.

6.5 - Elvis Costello & The Imposters

Declan MacManus (aka Elvis Costello) has released a book more recently than an album, but that isn’t stopping the Grammy-winning singer and songwriter. This run is a continuation of last year’s tour where Costello re-examined his 1982 album, “Imperial Bedroom.”

6.6 - Sheryl Crow

After taking a turn into country with 2013’s “Feels Like Home,” the nine-time Grammy winner returned to her pop-rock roots with April’s “Be Myself.” Her 10th studio album is the second in a row for Warner Bros. Music.

6.8: Quintino

Initially discovered by Laidback Luke in their home country of the Netherlands, this Dutch DJ and producer has worked with a slew of notable artists from Afrojack and Tiësto to Harwell and Blasterjaxx. His latest single, “Carnival,” was released by Spinnin’ Records in March.

6.8 - Valerie June

The Tennessee-bred, Brooklyn-based songwriter released her fifth full length, “The Order of Time,” in March - the singer’s first since breaking out with the Dan Auerbach-produced “Pushin’ Against a Stone” in 2013.

6.9 - DJ Premier & the BADDER Band

The Gang Starr legend hits the road as part of a five-piece ensemble. Premier (Christopher Martin) and the BADDER Band visit 16 cites across North America to play both original music as well as live renditions of deep cuts from Gang Starr and the DJ’s own solo productions.

6.9 - Shelia E

Daughter of percussionist Pete Escovedo and niece of San Diego’s own Javier and Mario Escovedo, the singer, multi-instrumentalist and Prince colleague provided the drums on the Hans Zimmer/Junkie XL soundtracks to Man of Steel and Batman v Superman last year. New single, “Girl Meets Boy,” is out now.

6.9: Deorro

Twenty-five-year-old Ultra Records DJ Deorro (aka Erick Orrosquieta) has remixed tracks by Steve Aoki, Gareth Emery and Laidback Luke, and hit platinum when he collaborated with Chris Brown on the single “Five More Hours” in 2015. His 26-song debut LP, “Good Evening,” dropped in March.

6.9&10 - Earth, Wind & Fire

The R&B, funk and soul legends return to San Diego. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-inducted and multiple-Grammy-winning band still features founding member Verdine White, as well as Philip Bailey and Ralph Johnson - both 45-year members.

6.10: What So Not

Once a duo with EDM superstar Flume, What So Not is now the solo project of Australian producer Emoh Instead (aka Chris Emerson). Last year, Emerson co-wrote the song “Talk” with DJ Snake from the French DJ’s smash debut, “Encore,” and collaborated on the single “Waiting” with RL Grime and Skrillex.

6.10 - Biz Markie

Billed as “Decades Collide: ‘80s vs. ‘90s,” this party will feature both live music and DJ sets from the one and only Biz Markie. Here’s hoping he’ll leave the tables and bust out his own 1989 smash, “Just a Friend,” on the mic.

6.10: Party Favor

Party Favor, aka Manhattan-born/L.A.-based DJ Dylan Ragland, has remixed the likes of Diplo, Major Lazer and Flosstradamus, and he’s toured with Cash Cash and Tritonal. His 2016 EP, “Party & Destroy,” featured collaborations with Sean Kingston, Gucci Mane, Dillon Francis and others. Ragland’s new single, “Wawa,” was released in March.
