Caitlin Hennegan, a 2010 graduate of the John Carroll School, has had quite a year.
Over the summer, Hennegan was awarded a student grant from the University of Maryland to study at Nankai University as part of the university's study abroad program. The focus of the trip was to study Chinese languages and culture. After completing her studies, Hennegan spent an additional three weeks at Tsinghua University's Immersion Camp as volunteer teaching English to Chinese adults. On weekends, she had the opportunity to take in the sites such as the Great Wall, Mount Tai and Tiananmen Square.
