At about 7 p.m. Friday, two black men entered the McDonald's in the 400 block of Constant Friendship Boulevard and robbed the manager while patrons were eating in the dining room, the sheriff's office said in a news release Sunday morning.
One robber, described as a black man, 6 feet tall and wearing all black with white/gray work gloves and a black beanie cap, entered the restaurant and approached the manager. The second robber, described as a black man, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and wearing a black hooded jacket/sweater, black beanie hat and black gloves, stood not too far away, according to the news release.
The taller suspect inferred that his accomplice had a gun and demanded the manager give him the money from the store, according to the release. The manager complied and the suspects then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, Eddie Hopkins, spokesman for the sheriff's office, said Sunday.
Uniformed patrol deputies and police dogs searched the area; however, the robbers were not found.
