The fifth annual Red Pump Ball will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Residents Club Ballroom at Bulle Rock in Havre de Grace.
The fundraiser, held in conjunction with Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation, presented by Jiffy Lube of Aberdeen and brought to you by Salon Marielle, benefits Upper Chesapeake Health's Heart and Vascular Institute.
This year's event promises to be better than ever with an open bar and hors d'oeuvres from local chefs. A full country French dinner will be prepared by Laurrapin Grill of Havre de Grace.
Guests will be treated to live entertainment and dancing featuring LuAnn Dutra, Michael Dutra and John E. Sax, with special appearances by Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra. Silent auctions and raffles will also be featured.
Upper Chesapeake Health brings together world class physicians and cutting edge technology to provide unparalleled cardiac care. UCH offers emergency cardiac angioplasty, a state-of-the-art all digital cardiac catherization lab, a 64-slice CT, primary acute stroke centers, cardiac rehabilitation programs and much more.
This special evening brings awareness to the prevalence of heart disease in the country, especially among women. More women than men die each year from heart disease. Women can take steps to lower their risk of heart disease and should discuss heart disease prevention with their doctor.
The black tie optional event is $85 per guest. Contact the UCH Foundation Office, 443-643-3460, for tickets and additional information.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
