Carroll County Sheriff's Office reported on Saturday, Sept. 10, that it was aiding in the investigation of a Baltimore City man who went missing early on Friday, Sept. 9.
Just before 11 a.m. Saturday, a Maryland State Trooper patrolling Route 26 near the Carroll and Baltimore county line found an unattended 2002 Honda Accord parked along the shoulder at the Liberty Reservoir bridge near Eldersburg
Police said the vehicle was owned by 44-year-old Christopher Anthony White of Baltimore. White's family had reported him missing to Baltimore City Police on Friday afternoon, Sept. 9.
Search and rescue personnel from the Gamber and Sykesville fire companies, and K-9 teams from Chesapeake Search and Rescue, Mid-Atlantic Search and Rescue and Maryland State Police have joined Carroll County Sheriff's Deputies and Baltimore City watershed rangers in a search of the reservoir property by boat and land.
As the teams assembled, an aerial search of the watershed was conducted by the Maryland State Police Aviation Section. Nothing was found as of Saturday evening.
Police said Christopher Anthony White is 5'9" tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing an orange long sleeve, button down shirt, blue jeans and low cut Timberland boots.
