1801 privy outside Homewood Museum is restored

Catherine Rogers Arthur, director and curator at Homewood Museum at Johns Hopkins University poses for a photo outside of a privy behind the museum. The museum has spent about $100,000 to restore an 1801 outhouse that was once used by the Charles Carroll family -- who lived at Homewood House-- and later by students at a school on the campus that was the precursor to the Gilman School.
