Sunfest, Rising Sun's annual street festival, will be held Saturday, June 2 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. The parade will start at 9 a.m. and the activities will begin at 10 a.m. throughout the town. There will be plenty of food, music, entertainment, vendors and fun for the whole family.
Earl and Joan Larue hosted a family reunion and Memorial Day get-together Saturday at their home on Abrahams Road. Lots of family and friends were on hand for the celebration.

The 6th Annual Lower Susquehanna Rockfish Tournament will be held Saturday, June 2. Shore fishing is allowed from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Marina Park in
June's Port Palooza, a monthly "first Saturday" event sponsored by the Port Deposit Chamber of Commerce and Exelon Energy, will be held Saturday, June 2, starting at 1 p.m. in the town square. Look for vendors, music and lots of things to see and do. The exhibit in the Bank Building will be a collection of various medium titled "Creatures of the Susquehanna, Real and Imagined." These original works of art are contributed by the Cecil County Boys and Girls Club. Martha Barchowski, past president of the club, will be on hand to answer any questions concerning this project.
Good Shepherd School, 800 Aiken Ave., Perryville, will serve its last all-you-can-eat breakfast for this school year on Sunday, June 3 from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Good Shepherd School will hold its annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 9 from 2 until 8 p.m. There will be rides, games and food to be found on the school grounds of the school with parking behind the building. A car show will held in conjunction with the festival from noon until 6 p.m. Bring a lawn chair and plan to spend the day. A spaghetti supper will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. in the air-conditioned school hall to wrap up the day.
The Water Witch Fire Company will serve a chicken barbecue on Saturday, June 9 from 1 to 5 p.m. at House 2 off Tome Highway.
