In a ruling by Michigan Public Service Commission administrative law judge, Dennis Mack, issued on Monday, June 6, Mack ruled to dismiss the investigation into the rates, fares and tariffs of the ferry companies and who has the authority to regulate ferry service to and from Mackinac Island. The investigation began back in February after a request by Shepler¿s Mackinac Island Ferry.

Shepler¿s requested the Michigan Public Service Commission get involved after Arnold Transit Company and Star Line Mackinac Island Ferry announced a joint venture last October.
