Journey

PlayStation 3 3.5 stars out of 4 Next time Roger Ebert says something about games not being art, someone should sit him in front of a PS3 to play "Journey." This downloadable title, which involves guiding a nameless robed figure to a pyramid in the desert, thumbs its nose at almost every existing convention of modern video games--things such as narrative, character and action--and instead uses a minimalist approach to design and graphics to create a truly transcendent experience. The game is very short at about two hours, but "Journey" is a classic case of quality over quantity.
