Social Media Week is fast approaching--Sept. 24-28--and Chicago is taking center stage with more than 90 events around the city as part of the global celebration of social media nerdery. RedEye's been on the social media game for years and years--we just celebrated our 4th Twitter birthday!--so we had to get involved. Just in a slightly different way.
Join us for RedEye's The Social, a web- and social media-focused talk show that both celebrates and laments all things social media. RedEye digital producer Ernest Wilkins hosts and talks with guests Molly Soda, the Internet's sea-punk muse, and Anthony Adams, the former Chicago Bear now chronicling his adventures as a free agent on the Internet. RedEye also welcomes some of Chicago's best for a little comedic relief, including the creators of If Websites Were People (Sarah Ashley and Rob Anderson of iO and Amber Gerencher of The Second City) and @IAmEnidColeslaw, Twitter buddy of comedian @RobDelaney's with more than 60,000 followers.
Ernest and I will be asking you to participate, as well, both before and during the show:
