Chicago rapper N.O.R.M. answered our Chi-Tunes questionnaire. Do the same and your band could appear in RedEye!
What makes your live show great?
It features laser lights, video animation, and (unfortunately) ME!
I'm kidding...we DON'T have laser lights.
Describe your sound in five words or less.
8-bit hip-hop amazingly cookie.
Tell us something random about the band, and why that's significant.
Random? Well, I am part of a bigger entity, AGENDA PRODUCTIONS, and have met with top A&Rs, had our music featured on BET and almost did the theme song for "Disaster Guy" on A&E. It's significant because I should be a millionaire right now, but whatever.
Who would you want to work with, and who would you never work with? Why?
I want to work with Ol' Dirty Bastard but he's dead, so that won't happen.
I would NEVER work with Ol' Dirty Bastard's corpse for obvious reasons.
If the band was a breakfast cereal, what would it be and why?
Sugar Powder O's. Because I am HYPE like sugar, I can disappear in a thunderstorm like the kid from the movie "Powder" and...
OHHHHH SNAP!!! (Sorry, that was stupid).
What's the best album you've heard recently?
"Instruction Booklet EP" by N.O.R.M. I'm not lying. Other than that YMO's "Solid State Survivor."
What song do you never want to hear again?
Surf MCs' "Surf or Die."
What is Chicago's best music venue and why?
Reggie's Rock Club. And I'm NOT just saying that because most of my artists perform there.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
