Chicago rockers the The Cell Phones answered our Chi-Tunes questionnaire. Do the same and your band could appear in RedEye!
What makes your live show great?
Two big ol' bass amps, our drummer's knees and elbows, revealing clothing and awkward stage banter!
Describe your sound in five words or less.
WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT???
Tell us something random about the band, and why that's significant.
Halloween is our favorite holiday. We even made a 7-minute music video for it! The spirits were pleased! Go watch it on YouTube or they'll haunt you!
Who would you want to work with, and who would you never work with? Why?
Want to: Death From Above 1979, because we want more bass and drums with our bass and drums!
Never want to: Chris Brown. Why does he want girls to 'wet the bed?' We've all worked hard to NOT wet the bed since we were ten!
If the band was a breakfast cereal, what would it be and why?
We'd be Lucky Charms (only the marshmallows, tho) and hot sauce, with a side of green olives for cleansing the palette.
What's the best album you've heard recently?
St. Vincent' "Strange Mercy." That girl is wild. And even though we don't have guitars in our band, she could come play with us anytime she wants!
What song do you never want to hear again?
"All I need is a miracle. All I NEEEED is you. ALL I NEED IS A MIRACLE! All I NEEEEED is you..."
What is Chicago's best music venue and why?
Well, when you're not playing places as AMAZING as the Hideout it's good to play at the Mutiny, because you can get good and loud. Plus they pay you in booze! And the pool is FREE!Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
