Sometime in November, BBC America The tense and perfectly acted drama about the changes in broadcast news and society in the 1950s returns for a new season. It's late 1957, a year after "The Hour" news program was canceled, but Bel (Romola Garai), Hector (Dominic West) and Freddie (Ben Whishaw) still are trying to report, unfiltered by the government, the news they think is important, including the Cold War and nuclear armament. They are sucked into cover-ups, sexual and political intrigues and corruption. Peter Capaldi joins the cast as the eccentric new director of news. BBC America's "Bedlam" returns for its second season at 8 p.m. Oct. 6.
