West Pullman on Saturday saw its third homicide in about a month, a RedEye analysis of preliminary police data found.
A 36-year-old man was shot to death in the 11600 block of South Wallace Street, the first homicide in that community area in September following two homicides in August, RedEye determined.
West Pullman has recorded eight homicides so far this year. The South Side community area logged six homicides last year, RedEye determined.
Citywide, gunshot homicides were recorded in the last week in Belmont Cragin, Chatham and Gage Park, RedEye determined.
