Few network shows celebrate Halloween as well as sitcoms, and Tuesday's Fox lineup is going all out for the holiday.

"We've got a great Halloween episode," Chicago native and "Raising Hope" star Lucas Neff told me recently. "Burt [Garret Dillahunt] and I go to a gay bar, which is a lot of fun."

Neff plays Jimmy Chance, Burt's son and the father of toddler Hope. In "Don't Ask, Don't Tell Me What To Do," airing at 7 p.m. Tuesday on Fox, Jimmy and Burt hang out at a gay bar to prep Jimmy on how to act around the gay bestie of his girlfriend, Sabrina (Shannon Woodward).

Said Neff: "Burt has the time of his life."

And then some. Dillahunt utters a million great lines as Burt learns the things he's always wondered about gay bars--"If you say to the bartender, 'I'm in the mood for nuts,' what do you get?" for example. But wife Virginia (Martha Plimpton) gets lonely on Halloween night, so she dons a Halloween costume and joins him. (He's dressed as a mailman from the Village People. "I added a mailman to the Village People 'cause I deliver the biggest package," he says.)

Here's a brief rundown of the other Fox Halloween episodes Oct. 30:

  • "Ben and Kate," 7:30 p.m.: Kate's hot neighbor invites her to a Halloween party. Then she meets her other hot neighbor, Will (guest Geoff Stults).
  • "New Girl," 8 p.m.: Jess gets a job as a zombie at a Haunted House.
  • "The Mindy Project," 8:30 p.m.: Mindy stresses out about finding a Halloween costume to impress Josh.
