How long have you worked there? Eight months Age: 22 Neighborhood: Downers Grove What's your favorite thing about the job? The mix of people. "It's not always the same crowd. We have tourists coming in since it's a hotel but you also have a younger, hip crowd and you also have the older, sophisticated crowd that's always been coming into the Pump Room from the beginning. They¿re always super well dressed." What's your most memorable story/experience on the job? Last year's New Year's Eve party, the first NYE bash at the new incarnation of the Pump Room. "We had people coming in in beautiful evening gowns but we also had younger girls coming in in the tight little [designer] dresses and guys coming in from the New-Year's-Eve-let's-get-trashed parties." What plans or ambitions do you have for the future? Becoming a journalist and working in television. From 2008-2010 Rodriguez worked for Univision as a special news correspondent, which involved covering a wide range of stories and working as a weather girl. What's a fun fact about you, regarding your work as a server or otherwise: Rodriguez has competed in several beauty pageants, including winning "Miss Photogenic" in the 2009 Miss Florida pageant.
