After a week off, "Strike Back" returns with a vengeance Sept. 6--James Leatherby's vengeance.
The former Special Forces hero who is now a somewhat crazed terrorist-for-hire is forced on a detour when Section 20 launches a mission to rescue Ester (Amy-Leigh Hickman), the teenage daughter of possible double agent Leo Kamali (Zubin Varla).
As you can see in the exclusive clip below, Leatherby only gets angrier when he hears from Col. Philip Locke (Robson Green), who taunts Leatherby by reminding him he once had been captured by Saddam Hussein's "weekend warriors" in Iraq.
Leatherby goes after Section 20's operatives with a vengeance, launching dirty grenades in a housing complex where they are hiding out that leads to a bloody confrontation. The behind-the-scenes clip below gives a little insight into how the battle was filmed.
Meanwhile, Major Rachel Dalton (Rhona Mitra), suffering her own break from reality as she pursues terrorist Al-Zuhari at all costs, kidnaps a detainee to force information from her. Kamali tries to talk her down.
The episode, let's call it "Crazed and Confused" since the eps are never titled, was written by James Dormer and directed by Julian Holmes. It debuts at 9 p.m. CT Sept. 6 on Cinemax with replays throughout the week.
