Six days after he was shot in Las Vegas, where he attended a Mike Tyson-Bruce Seldon fight, rapper Tupac Shakur died of his wounds. On Sept. 7, he and members of his entourage were captured earlier on tape in the lobby of the MGM Grand in a violent scuffle with a man later identified as a member of the L.A.-based Bloods gang. Hours later, Shakur was a passenger in a car driven by Death Row Records head Marian "Suge" Knight when a white Cadillac pulled up alongside them at a stoplight on Flamingo Road and fired into the vehicle. At least 12 shots were fired, four of which struck Shakur. One grazed the head of Suge Knight.
