China’s Chang’e 3 mission, from launch to landing
China became the third nation to put a spacecraft down on the lunar surface after its Chang’e 3 mission completed the first soft touchdown since 1976. The lander deployed the Yutu, or Jade Rabbit, rover, which left tracks in the moon’s soil.
