2 women accused of smuggling arrested at border; 81-year-old allegedly had 92 pounds of heroin

Officers at two San Diego County border crossings seized more than 270 pounds of drugs within 15 hours and arrested two women allegedly caught smuggling those drugs, including an 81-year-old accused of having 92 pounds of heroin in her car, federal officials said.

Teen charged in largest-ever seizure of fentanyl pills at U.S. border

A 19-year-old U.S. citizen living in Tijuana was arrested Wednesday at the San Ysidro Port of Entry with nearly 11,500 fentanyl pills, believed to be the largest batch of fentanyl pills ever seized at the U.S.-Mexico border, federal authorities said.
