Aleks Syntek and Cristian Castro surprise fans with joint tour

Mexican singers Aleks Syntek and Cristian Castro are set to go on an “unexpected” joint tour that will kick off this November in Mexico City, tour organizers said.

The collaboration seemed a natural after the duet “Tan Cerquita” showed the “chemistry” between these two stars of Mexican showbiz, organizers said in a statement.

The first concert will be on Nov. 5 at the National Auditorium, where the singers’ greatest hits “will alternate, will be combined and will even be performed as mashups,” organizers said.

“We’re going to combine many years of songs in a project of the splendor our fans deserve for all they have given us. For me it means coming out of my comfort zone, the challenge of doing a new version of the songs made famous by the great Cristian Castro, as well as reinventing my own to be sung with his voice,” Syntek said.

With Syntek’s musical direction and arrangements, some of the numbers that will predictably be performed are “Sexo, Pudor y Lagrimas,” “Azul,” “Mis Impulsos Sobre Ti,” “Lloviendo Estrellas,” “Corazones Invencibles” and “Es Mejor Asi.”
