The Chicago Bears beat the Green Bay Packers 2720 on “Monday Night Football,” picking up a crucial win against a divisional rival and knocking Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers out of the game at Lambeau Field.

“I hadn’t beaten them (in Green Bay) since I got here, so it was a great accomplishment by us as a team and we’re looking forward to building on this,” Bears running back Matt Forte said.

The win gave Chicago a share of first place in the National Football Conference’s North Division.

“This is really neat because it means so much to our team, because it is a divisional opponent and it is for the divisional lead. All those things factor into this. So it is special and I am very thankful,” Bears quarterback Josh McCown said.

McCown, an 11year veteran who is playing in place of the injured Jay Cutler, finished 22 of 41 for 272 yards, with two touchdowns, no interceptions and a passer rating of 90.7.

The Bears (53), who are now tied with the Packers and the Detroit Lions atop the NFC North Division, ended a sixgame losing streak to Green Bay.

The big concern for the Packers is the condition of Rodgers, who could be out of action for several weeks due to a shoulder injury.

“I just had a chance to speak to Aaron before he went up to the training room, he has a shoulder injury. They want to run more tests. They don’t have an exact diagnosis. That’s where we are. We’ll have more information for you, probably tomorrow,” Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said after the game.

Rodgers “could miss three weeks after initial tests showed a small fracture in the Green Bay Packers quarterback’s collarbone,” ESPN reported on Tuesday, citing league sources.

Backup quarterback Seneca Wallace finished the game 11 of 19 for 114 yards, with no touchdowns and one interception, giving him a passer rating of 53.4.

The lone bright spot for Green Bay was running back Eddie Lacy, a rookie out of Alabama who had 22 carries for 150 yards and a touchdown.
