There has also been no official confirmation of the news yet.

In the past, the actor has shown reluctance to continue with the series, partly due to the lukewarm reception the second movie received at the box office.

The new movie, directed by Paul Feig, picks up the story from where it left off but with female actors and is being shot in Boston.

Starring Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy, who have already worked together in ‘Bridesmaids’, as well as Kate McKinnon (Life Partners) and Leslie Jones (Top Five), it will premier on July 2016.

Dan Aykroyd, another actor from the original cast, will also appear in the new production, according to the newspaper ‘Daily News’.

Besides this sequel, Sony Pictures Entertainment is also working on new content related to the series, including another movie that could star Channing Tatum, according to recent reports.
