Bullet train to connect Kuala Lampur and Singapore in 2026

A high speed bullet train will cover the 350 kilometers separating the capitals of Malaysia and Singapore in one and a half hours from 2026 onwards, according to a memorandum signed on Tuesday by the two countries for the construction of the project.

The railway line will have eight stations (Bandar Malaysia, Putrajaya, Seremban, Ayer Keroh, Muar, Batu Pahat, Iskandar Puteri and Singapore) and the trains will run at speeds of 300 kph, according to Malaysian newspaper The Star.

Customs, immigration and quarantine formalities will be carried out at the origin stations of the trains.

Razak and Lee Hisen Loong, respectively, presided over the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding by Singaporean Transport Minister and Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure Khaw Boon Wan and Malaysian minister Abdul Rahman Dahlan on Malaysian soil.
