A Cambodian man died Wednesday morning of the H1N1 virus, or swine flu, local media said.

Khun No, 30, was a cameraman with the Cambodian Television Network.

He tested positive for the virus on Feb. 20 and was admitted to the KhmerSoviet Friendship Hospital in Phnom Penh, where he died, Xinhua news agency reports.

No’s condition worsened severely because he also had pneumonia, said Ly Sovann, director of the Cambodian Health Ministry’s Department of Communicable Disease Control.

“It was the first death from the H1N1 virus since 2010,” Sovann said.

After the Southeast Asian country reported its first swine flu case in June 2009, the virus infected about 600 people and killed six from 2009 to 2010.
