Share

The Croatian parliament was dissolved on Monday as part of the process for holding regular parliamentary elections which, according to the law, will be convened in the coming days by the country’s president, Kolinda GrabarKitarovic, to be held before the end of the year.

Although the election date has not been determined, it is estimated that it is likely to take place on a Sunday in November.

The current parliament came out of the elections held in December 2011, in which the progressive coalition, Alliance for Change, led by the SocialDemocratic Party of current Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic, won.

Polls for the upcoming elections predict very close results between the centerleft bloc of Milanovic and the conservative bloc led by the Croatian Democratic Union.
