Ekaterina Alexandrova eliminates Ana Ivanovic from Wimbledon

Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic was eliminated on Monday from the first round of Wimbledon after her defeat against Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova 62, 75.

Alexandrova, world no. 223 player, needed only one hour and 25 minutes to beat her Serbian opponent, a semifinalist in 2007.

Ivanovic, world no. 23, said the match was difficult, adding that she is going to rest and prepare for her next tournament, the Olympics.
