“Magic in the Moonlight,” the second film Allen has shot in France, where he made “Midnight in Paris,” also stars Colin Firth, Marcia Gay Harden and Eileen Atkins, media reports said.

Allen has received 24 Oscar nominations and won four times for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for “Annie Hall” in 1977; for Best Original Screenplay for “Midnight in Paris” in 2011; and for Best Original Screenplay “Hannah and Her Sisters” in 1986.

“Blue Jasmine,” which was released on July 26, 2013, starred Cate Blanchett, who won the Oscar for Best Actress.

The film also starred Alec Baldwin, Bobby Cannavale, Louis C.K., Andrew “Dice” Clay, Sally Hawkins, who was nominated for an Oscar, Peter Sarsgaard and Michael Stuhlbarg.

Stone is coming off the huge U.S. opening weekend of “The Amazing SpiderMan 2,” which took in nearly $92 million at the box office.
