Emma Watson: “I have to prove I can be different people”

British actress Emma Watson confessed in an interview with EFE that the disadvantage of having played Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter saga for so long, which made her famous, is that “sometimes, I have to prove that I can be different people.”

Watson, 25, visited Spain recently to accompany director Alejandro Amenabar in the presentation of his latest work, “Regression”, a psychological thriller in which she plays Angela, a mysterious young woman who accuses her father of a terrible crime.

“Working with Alexander, who is such a master of the genre, was very reassuring and I trusted him a lot,” said the actress, who considered herself a fan of “The Others” and the Oscarwinning “The Sea Inside”. She admitted that she knew “right away” that she wanted to do a movie with Amenabar.

Angela’s character was “a challenge” for Watson, who is afraid of “uncertainty” and “knowing that something will happen, but you don’t know where or when.”

When asked what terrifies her in real life, Watson is adamant: “I do not like injections and sharks.”
