Hackers stole an early script for the new James Bond film, “SPECTRE,” which is expected to be released in late 2015, the film’s producers, Eon Productions, said Sunday.

The script was taken during the cyberattack on Sony Pictures Entertainment last month and the producers are concerned that it might be posted on the Internet.

“Eon Productions, the producers of the James Bond films, learned this morning that an early version of the screenplay for the new Bond film SPECTRE is amongst the material stolen and illegally made public by hackers who infiltrated the Sony Pictures Entertainment computer system,” the production company said in a statement posted on the film’s official Web site.

“Eon Productions is concerned that third parties who have received the stolen screenplay may seek to publish it or its contents,” the statement said.

Filming on “SPECTRE” started earlier this month in London after the name of the latest installment in the longrunning spy series was released.

Producers said Agent 007 would drive an Aston Martin DB10 in the film, but they did not reveal any details about the plot.

“SPECTRE” will be the fourth film to feature British actor Daniel Craig as James Bond.

Craig, who also starred as 007 in “Casino Royale,” “Quantum of Solace” and “Skyfall,” will be joined on the cast by Italian actress Monica Bellucci and Austrian actor Christoph Waltz, who plays the villain.
