Johnny Depp’s ex-wife Amber Heard to head back to Australia

Johnny Depp’s exwife, American actor Amber Heard, will return to Australia before the end of 2016 to shoot for the movie Aquaman, months after she was tried for smuggling her dogs into the country, media reports said.

Heard will play Mera, the Queen of Atlantis and Aquaman’s love interest in the superhero flick that will be produced by Warner Bros and shot in Australia, according to The West Australian daily.

In April, a court in Australia found Heard guilty of submitting false documents to bring the couple’s pet dogs, Boo and Pistol, into Australia in 2015 and imposed a fine that will not be registered as a sentence.

Heard and Depp, who were still married at the time, released a video expressing “remorse” over the incident and expressed their respect for Australian quarantine laws.
